Saint Agatha of Sicily Chaplet Prayers

The Chaplet to Saint Agatha is made with 9 beads, any colour.
It consists of 3 sets of 3 beads with a crucifix on one end
and a Saint Agatha medal on the other end.
It is also known as a “novena chaplet”.

On the Medal Pray

Oh Saint Agatha, who withstood the unwelcomed advances from unwanted suitors, and suffered pain and torture for your devotion to Our Lord, we celebrate your faith, dignity, and martyrdom.

Protect us against rape and other violations, guard us against breast cancer and other afflictions of women, and inspire us to overcome adversity.

Oh Saint Agatha, virgin and martyr, mercifully grant that we who venerate your sacrifice, may receive your intercession.  Amen.

On the first bead of each set, Pray the Our Father

Our Father, Who art in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy name.  Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.   Amen.

On the second bead of each set, Pray the Hail Mary

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with Thee.  Blessed art Thou among women and blessed is the fruit of Thy womb, Jesus.  Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death.  Amen.

On the third bead of each set, Pray the Glory Be

Glory Be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.  As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be; World without end.  Amen.

On the Crucifix Pray

O Heavenly Father, who raised Agatha to the dignity of Sainthood, we implore Your Divine Majesty by her intercession to give us health of mind, body and soul. Free us from all those things which hold us bound to this Earth, and let our spirit, like hers, rise to Your heavenly courts. Through Jesus Christ, Your Son, our Lord, who lives and reigns with You, forever. Amen.
