Saint Bernadette of Lourdes Chaplet Prayers

The Chaplet for Saint Bernadette of Lourdes is made with 9 beads, any colour.
It consists of 3 groups of 3 beads with a crucifix on one end and a Saint Bernadette medal on the other end.
This style of chaplet is also known as a “novena chaplet”.

On the Medal Pray:

O my God, I beg You, by Your loneliness, not that You may spare me affliction, but that You may not abandon me in it.  When I encounter affliction, teach me to see You in it as my sole comforter.  Let affliction strengthen my faith, fortify my hope and purify my love.  Grant me the grace to see Your hand in my affliction and to desire no other comforter but You.  Amen.

On the first bead of each set, Pray the Our Father:

Our Father, Who art in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy name.  Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.   Amen.

On the second bead of each set, Pray the Hail Mary:

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with Thee.  Blessed art Thou among women and blessed is the fruit of Thy womb, Jesus.  Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death.  Amen.

On the third bead of each set, Pray the Glory Be:

Glory Be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.  As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be; World without end.  Amen

On the Crucifix Pray the Prayer of Saint Bernadette:

Let the crucifix be not only in my eyes and on my breast, but in my heart.  Oh Jesus!  Release all my affections and draw them upwards.  Let my crucified heart sink forever into Thine and bury itself in the mysterious wound made by the entry of the lance.
